Hi, I’m Helen — the hands, heart, and sweet tooth behind Bakes by Helen.

What started as a personal love for baking has quickly become something more. Between juggling life, work, and the occasional burnt batch of cookies, I found myself constantly drawn back to the kitchen — flour on my sleeves, and joy in every bake. Baking has always been my happy place, a way to unwind, get creative, and connect with others through something as simple (and delicious) as a homemade treat.

Bakes by Helen isn’t a big business — it’s a side hustle, born from late-night cake experiments, weekend cookie orders for friends, and a growing list of  “Can you make that again?” requests. Over time, I realised this little passion of mine has legs…and probably frosting too.

​

I work solo (for now!) — every order is made by me, with care and plenty of taste testing along the way. I specialize in small-batch bakes, and custom treats that are perfect for birthdays, gatherings, or just because you feel like indulging in something sweet. I’m not about mass production — I’m about thoughtful baking, fresh ingredients, and adding that personal touch that makes every bite feel homemade. Because it is.

What makes Bakes by Helen different? It’s simple: heart. Every recipe has a story, every bake is made with love, and every order helps support this little dream of mine. I'm not trying to compete with the big bakeries — I'm here for the people who love the charm of something crafted with care.
